The Cooerwull Public School is situated in Lithgow and is housed on two sites. The Primary site catering for students from Year 3 to Year 6 is situated on Main Street, while the Infant site housing students from Kindergarten to Year 2 is located in Martini Parade some 300 metres from the Main Street site.
